100th green butterfly
What: With its mysterious name (no one quite knows what it means) and unorthodox meetings, 100th Green Butterfly is one of the strangest service organizations at Ames High. Oftentimes, members blast music while sorting bins of newspapers and homework assignments, and occasionally even come across some treasures (sticker sheets, unused notebooks, and hilarious notes). The small, dedicated group of Green Butterflies also deliver the sorted materials to the local recycling plant. 100th Green also plans and hosts the annual Fellowship of the Bands, generally held in April or May to fundraise for the club.
When: Wednesdays right after school Where: Mr. Lazere's room at the end of the science hallway How you can join: Just show up at a meeting! We love you! |
