jaw harp potential
Ames High's only indie acoustic band with a harp, accordion, ukulele, tambourine, and tiny piano made a splash in the Ames music scene in September 2011 with an appearance on the Maximum Ames Music Festival lineup. Since then, Jaw Harp Potential has played at the Ames Pantorium, the Space for Ames, the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Ames, and at numerous Ames High events. Their unique brand of folk-y, lyric-heavy, and quirky original songs have gained them a loyal Central Iowan fan base since their inception in early 2011. Jaw Harp Potential's plans for 2012 include playing more shows around Ames while preparing to record their debut EP.
