What: NHS is a service organization that plans large-scale service projects in the Ames community. Past projects have included change drives, food drives for MICA, blanket drives for the animal shelter, and sorting materials at Appalachia Warehouse in north Ames. This year's biggest NHS service project is Aquapalooza, a music festival in the Ames High gym, to raise money for Clean Water Movement. NHS, in addition to planning the event with Clean Water Movement staff, will also volunteer throughout the day (April 7 from 2-10 PM).
When: NHS meets sporadically, usually on Mondays or Fridays during 1st or 7th. Where: Auditorium & occasionally in the MPR How you can join: If you are a sophomore or junior with a GPA of 3.4 or above, you will be invited to apply in early February.
